Vermont Viking

I am saddened to hear of the loss of The Vermont Viking. I remember
looking at one of his tutorials or contibutions to the original LBNA
website and list. I am thankful for what he has given to the
Letterboxing Community.

Best regards,

So sorry to hear of Erik's passing, and that we never got a chance to
meet him. We'd heard of him as a letterboxing pioneer up there in VT,
and still hope to visit his early boxes, like Prayer Rock, perhaps
next weekend, if anyone wants to join us. Our sympathy to his family.
Sincerely,

Wanda and Pete

Let me know, Bristol is only about an hour from my place in NH.

We're going to try to get up to the Prayer Rock letterbox this
weekend, Saturday July 12th around 3:00PM, if Rich, Team Green
Dragon, the Pepes, or anyone else is able to meet us. Would be nice
if we could get a little group together there to pay our respects.

Does anyone know how long it would take to get to this box
from the border of Massachusetts? It takes about 2 and a half
hours to get to the border of Vermont from our house and I don't
want to be too inaccessable to my family this weekend - Dad in
Hospital :(

Thanks Lori TeamGreenDragon

Where, and which border?

We'd be coming up route 89 after dancing in the Boston area on Friday
night, and also wanted to give anyone else interested in going up
there to Bristol,VT enough time to get there without rushing, but if
anyone has a different suggestion for meeting date or time, we're
certainly open to it. Otherwise, hope to see you Saturday at 3:00.

Guess I'd better go check on the box and make sure there's enough room in the log book! Who knows, Ben & I may even be there to meet you.

Bring swimsuits, one of New England's hidden wonders is just 0.5 miles up the road. Swim to, under and inside Bartlett's Falls. Or perhaps a tube on Circle current, or a jump off Eagle's nest is to your liking. No fees, just park your car off the pavement.

Bristol bakery offer bagels, bread and tortes with decent coffee. Bristol Cliffs diner is worth a visit. The Bobcat Cafe offers bistro food and designer beer brewed by their sister cafe in Brattleboro. A health food store, beeswax candle shop, gallery of local craft artisans, and a head shop offering Nepali clothes.

Thank you for all your kind thoughts about Erik, he was a delightful man.

Regards,
Susan Davis

I'll be over that way, but depending on my SO's hiking speed we may or
may not make it. If so, see you there.
